Clean memory pins and the board around it, if your
board has a layer of rubber or varnish, clean it with a toothbrush and
Thinner. You could remove the rubber smoothly on the board using a
screwdriver first.
Protect or cover with paper tape all components
around the PSOP memory.(as shown in the picture).
Tin one side of the
memory. Donīt be afraid ! Make a big line of tin on pins. When you add
more quantity of tin you reduce to zero the risk to damage the board.
Hold the memory with an
special clip (extracting tool) as shown in picture. Now heat the tin
side with a soldering tool, moving the soldering tool heating all pins
of line. When you are sure all pins are hot (tin must be in liquid
state) start to pull, continuing heating all pins and lifting this side
of the memory.
When pins are free remove
the soldering tool , but stay pulling with the clip till tin is solid.
Now repeat step 3 in the other side of the PSOP memory and remove the
memory from the board completely.
Clean the board with a
toothbrush and Thinner. So remove the remaining tin with a copper wick
(tape tin-remover) and clean it with thinner again. Take care ! Donīt
heat the board too much.
Remove the covering tape
from the board and Clean it with a toothbrush and Thinner.
Place pins line on the
board and weld it pin by pin. To weld the second pins line attach this
pins line in the intelligent-socket , and place the socket to welded
line on the board, so you will place the second pins line in right
position.
Finally, plug the
intelligent socket with pins header welded on board... and , of course,
clean the board with a toothbrush and Thinner.
